SMBC's Youth Department is a smaller relevant community of the church's overall ministry that strives to help each young person develop into a disciple for Christ.
We believe that the Bible is God’s infallible written Word and we believe wholeheartedly in seeing lives changed through Jesus Christ. Our dedicated team of Youth Ministry leaders work with youth ages 6 to 18, building them in the Word of God and sending them out to do likewise in a welcoming, safe, fun and enthusiastic environment to connect with one another via Sunday School, Bible Study, Music Ministry, Community Service Projects and other enriching activities. We seek to help them develop the tools to acquire and maintain a healthy growing relationship with God they can use wherever they go in life.

Rev. Keenen Brinson
Youth & Young Adult Pastor
Reverend Keenen D. Brinson, known as Pastor K, has been at the forefront of Children's, Youth, and Young Adult Ministries for over a decade. His passion for teaching and nurturing the younger generations has fostered a heart for intergenerational ministry.
Pastor K believes that bridging the gap between all ages in the church through transparency enhances the faith foundation of younger minds. His charismatic and energetic approach makes him eager to journey with you through any stage of life, as we all deepen our love for Jesus Christ.
