Scholarship Ministry

The Scholarship Ministry, through intentional youth-centered programming, promotes personal growth, academic success, and career exploration. We seek to bridge gaps of understanding about pathways to higher education as well as increase knowledge about the diverse career fields that help our church and our community thrive. We want our youth to identify and strengthen their faith, spiritual gifts, and talents while gaining knowledge to help them make informed decisions about life after high school. While the ministry focus is primarily on high school juniors and seniors, all high school students can benefit from some of the ministry workshops and resources. The Scholarship Ministry is responsible for creating the qualifications and guidelines for the church scholarship application process. A committee of church members will review applications and select graduating seniors from our congregation to receive the scholarship awards. We aspire to build competencies through this process that will equip and empower our youth members to achieve successful outcomes when they apply for scholarships or employment outside of the church.

Please monitor church announcements and the website for updates on programming and deadlines associated with the scholarship applications. Awards are generally presented in June. We are thankful for the opportunity to minister to our high school students. This is an exciting time in their lives. We want this ministry to contribute to their spiritual development and build a foundation for life learning.
