Deaconess Ministry

Welcome!

The Deaconess Ministry’s mission supports the Pastor and Deacons Ministry in developing the spiritual life of the church.  We serve as co-laborers in fulfilling the mission and vision of the Church to edify and glorify God's kingdom.

The primary responsibilities of the Deaconess Ministry include:
  • Preparation of the Communion Table every first Sunday and care of communion elements, linens, etc.
  • Assisting female candidates for baptismal services, caring for baptismal attire, towels, etc.
  • Annually facilitating and hosting a New Member’s Tea for all new members.
  • Attending funeral services and serving as floral bearers when needed.

Our Goals

The Deaconess Ministry serves our church according to 1 John 3:18 -  Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

We endeavor to:
  • Minister to the needs of our sick, shut-in and widows 
  • Serve as role models for our church youth, especially the females
  • Participate and serve where needed for other ministries of our church (Women of Faith, Sunday School and Young Adults) 
  • Serve in local community outreach activities that fit within the mission and vision of our church
