Meet Brother Ronald
Deacon Ronald Sims
Chairman of the Official Board
"I was honored to serve as the Chairman of the Deacon Board and now as Chairman of The Official Board at Second Missionary Baptist Church.
For me (or anyone for that matter) to serve in this capacity as a leader, it will take prayer and leaning on God for strength, guidance, and His wisdom to do it. Without Him we can do nothing that will last. The Word of God tells us in Philippians 4:6-7 to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.
My prayer is that the Official Board, which includes the Deacons and Trustees, will continue to recognize it stewardship responsibility, working together as a united team and, will also to continue to rely and trust on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to function in its mission and purpose."
