DEACON MINISTRY

Welcome!

The mission of the Deacon Ministry is to serve the Lord faithfully by extending service to our church, ministries, families, one another and the community. Our guiding scripture is Colossians 3:12 which says "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." It s important to be a part of this ministry because deacons are called to serve others with the gifts God has given them in and outside the church.

"As a sincere, dedicated servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at SMBC and being one of our senior deacons, it has been an honor, privilege, and pleasure to have served as chairman of our Official Board, chairman of the Deacons Ministry and vice chairman of the Deacons Ministry.

I am most grateful and thankful to have been asked again to serve as Chairman of the Deacon Ministry.

SMBC is a church that is comprised of people who are compassionate, productive, and love to praise God. It is my sincere hope that someone will be inspired to become a disciple making disciples because only what you do for Christ will last.

God will add to your life and his Church if you will lift his Holy name and praise Him."
